G-PAL’s technology roadmap is highly regarded by many automakers. Jointly developed with SAIC, our integrated HW/SW system is ramping up quickly (partial L3 SD functions for passenger vehicles, L4 SD functions for commercial trucks in fixed field). The system will be able to fulfill functions in urban area, closed park or highway domains, including automated valet parking, automated following and autonomous lane changing in congested urban road and on highway.

Joint development and upgrading currently under way with SAIC: 4D HD MMW radar, radar+visual+LWIR camera fusion based highly integrated all-weather perception module (including map construction, free space and high-accuracy localization), integrated hardware and software modules and systems for perception, planning, decision and control.

G-PAL has completed collaborating with SAIC on initial testing and transfer of integrated SD hardware system in defined area. Per “Development Plan of State’s Next Generation AI Innovation Piloting Zone in Shanghai (2019-2023)”, autonomous driving of container trucks will be operative by 2023 on the route of Yangshan Port - Donghai Bridge - Lin Gang Logistic Park - Lu Chao Gang Railway Hub. With the work at the Piloting Zone, we will advance commercial vehicles to L4 self driving.   ​
